Mark Willis
steps up to President position as Darren Bien is appointed COO
Keller Williams Realty has named Mark Willis as President and
Darren Bien as COO of the
company.
Bien and Willis
will report directly to CEO Mo Anderson who, along with Chairman
Keller, will continue to develop broad strategic vision for the
company and its constituents.
Willis brings
nearly 20 years of experience to the position. He joined Keller
Williams in 1991 as team leader at the companys Southwest
Market Center in Austin. In 1997, he became regional director
for Central and South Texas and expanded the regions presence
in San Antonio and Houston, eventually
building a 3,100-agent business in the process.
Prior to his
joining the firm in 1991, Willis was a branch manager for Coldwell
Banker, and also owned his own real estate company, Carriage House
Realty, in the mid 1980s.
Bien joined
Keller Williams from Jupiter Media Metrix, an Internet research
and advisory company, where he was a senior research analyst.
At Jupiter, Bien developed syndicated research and consulting
services that helped businesses use the Web more effectively.
Prior to his tenure at Jupiter, Bien served as an advisor for
a number of venture capital firms, and also held technology leadership
positions with Dell Computer, PepsiCo and Bombardier.
