Gary Keller is chairman of the board of Keller Williams® Realty, Inc. Keller is responsible for providing strategic direction for all of Keller Williams Realty. Keller established Keller Williams Realty with partner Joe Williams in 1983. The company began franchising in 1991 and expanded to Canada in 1998. From 1995 to present, Keller Williams Realty has become one of the fastest growing real estate companies in the United States with sales and commissions growth topping 700% during that period.

Keller’s reshaping of the traditional real estate business model earned Keller Williams Realty the Inman News "Most Innovative Real Estate Company Award" in 2001.

Based on his leadership qualities and contributions to the real estate industry, Keller was voted as one of the five "Most Admired People" in a survey conducted by REAL Trends magazine in 2000. REALTOR® Magazine ranked Keller the second most influential person in the industry. And in 2006, Inman News named him one of the most influential people in the industry.

Keller's success as a business owner was acknowledged in 2002 and 2003 when the gross profit of his two Austin offices earned him a place in REAL Trends elite 100-member Billionaire Club. His Southwest Market Center has been the No. 1 real estate office in the country since 2002, with over 6,000 transactions closed.

Gary became a best-selling author in 2003, with the successful launch of his first book, The Millionaire Real Estate Agent. With one book already on the BusinessWeek best seller list, in 2005 Gary released his second book, The Millionaire Real Estate Investor, which has become a mainstay on the BusinessWeek best seller list as well as making appearences on the Wall Street Journal and New York Times best seller lists.

Gary is married to Mary Pfluger; they have one child, John Christian. He is a musician -- guitar and piano -- and enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, antiques, movies, football, basketball, and spending as much time as possible with his family.
