Join us August 20-24 for a power-packed week

Mega Camp is right around the corner! If you haven’t registered yet, keep in mind   that this event sells out every year.

Here’s what the week looks like:

The theme this year is: “Thriving in a Buyers Market.”  Specifically, Gary Keller and Dave Jenks will address the following topics:

There will be role model videos, presentations and top-agent panels for each of these critical topics.  We are also now confirming two very dynamic guest speakers.

And finally, Gary Keller will share with you one of the most powerful ideas that he has used in his life.  It is “The Power of One” and it is the foundation of an upcoming book that Keller, Dave Jenks and Jay Papasan (the MREA and MREI writing team) are working on.

Wednesday, the second annual Mega Technology Camp kicks-off with Chief Technology Officer David Therrien on the latest and greatest in technology and how to incorporate it into your marketing strategy and business plans.

Then, the week closes with Mega Leadership Camp, where CEO Mark Willis and President and COO Mary Tennant will dive into Profit Camp and drill down on recruiting and driving productivity through training.

Are you leveraging the news media in your marketing?

Use hot news topics to attract buyers and sellers

The market doesn’t matter. What matters is your ability to find and capitalize on the opportunities in your market.

In a seller’s market, it’s time to maximize profits on the sale of homes. In a buyer’s market — it is time to trade up!

News about market conditions are plastered everywhere — on the Internet, in the news and on television. You can take that news and incorporate into your marketing message to help attract more motivated buyers and sellers.

For example, a recent article in Forbes listed Raleigh, N.C. as the No. 1 top selling markets in the country. So what message should our Raleigh associates incorporate into their marketing? “It’s the right time to buy in Raleigh!”

“There are really no bad markets,” says Jay Papasan,co-author of The Millionaire Real Estate Agent and The Millionaire Real Estate Investor. “We really have to take news about whatever market we are in and leverage it back out in our marketing. It’s about capitalizing on every opportunity.”

If you’re any of the markets named to Forbes’s Top Home Sellers Markets — it is opportunity time.

Incorporate this kind of news into your presentations and marketing. You can tell your clients, “I’m not just telling you that now is a great time to sell your home, Forbes is telling you too!”

But what if you’re not in a seller’s market? For most homes in most areas, it's a buyer's market. That means there are plenty of houses on the market with prices that have slowed, steadied or slumped. But there are clever ways to sell homes even in declining markets. Your strategy — “It’s time to reinvest in the market!”

What's going on in your state? Your county? Your city? Your street? Keep up with the news and capitalize on the marketing opportunities.
