I joined Keller Williams Florida Gulf Coast Realty in May 2000 after a 20-year career in journalism. I loved newspapering and spent most of that career with the St. Petersburg Times covering environmental and transportation issues as well as local politics and urban redevelopment. But my wife, Ann, KWGC's broker/owner, found an entreprenurial streak within me when she let me tag along on several of her Keller Williams' educational and training sessions. My abiding interest in real estate and business development took a new turn.
I'm the son of a career Air Force officer, so I've lived around the nation and am comfortable in fast-unfolding situations. My mother, though, is a fifth-generation Floridian. I grew up here and periodically attended Pinellas County schools. I was here as Central Florida transformed itself from a region of citrus groves, cattle ranches and two-lane highways into the sprawling exurb that today stretches from Clearwater's beaches to Orlando's tourist attractions to Cape Kennedy.
Ann and I know the details of Tampa Bay's neighborhoods, from the wide sandy beaches of the barrier islands to the charming, tree-shaded homes of St. Petersburg's Old Northeast to the newest subdivisions in East Lake. We invite you to contact us so that we can show you Tampa Bay's many charms. An important footnote: Our two sons attend public schools and have participated in the district's gifted and advanced programs since kindergarten, so we are comfortable with the details of the local school system. That said, we also know the opportunities available within the region's extensive network of private schools. We'd be happy to walk through these important details with you.
