Working backwards, I was born into a hardworking South Dakota family of a grandfather who built houses with his son, my father, and a mother who got used to moving once her spec house was sold or turned into a rental property. She has taught me that I could make any house my home, specifically after I became a post-it note of address changes through my 20ís and 30ís of climbing the corporate ladder.
My education background is a Social Work/Psychology degree from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN. I have inherently been the go-to person to listen and advise. I like to think that this makes me a better real estate professional instead of an aggressive salesperson. Assertive is necessary but most importantly, I work with you and learn what you want in your purchase or sale by listening, not talking, and by doing all business with honesty and integrity with the goal of long-term relationships versus fast sales and fast talking.
Lastly, my professional career morphed into the wide world of the web and eventually an online marketing company that I started after the first bubble burst in 2001. As of January 2012, I am embarking in a new direction with real estate taking all of my favorite things from my past to make me a trusted advisor, assertive marketer and most importantly, a good listener.
