Since 2004, Joe Champagne has generated over 90 million dollars in sales, ranking him in the top 1% of area Realtors in DuPage County. While Joe works with clients throughout the Greater Chicagoland area, his primary business serves the Western Suburbs of Chicago. Consistently, Joe leads the Glen Ellyn and Wheaton, Illinois markets in sales volume, sales price to listing price variance, and number of days on the market. He was the top producing Realtor in his office for 2010, 2011, and 2012. In 2012, Joe closed over 26 million in sales, putting him in the top 1% of all agents in DuPage County. Joe Champagne has listed hundreds of homes over the course of his career. In addition to his significant local business, Joe Champagne is also the exclusive broker for a large real estate investment group servicing the Chicagoland area. Joe was voted Favorite Realtor, Wheaton/Glen Ellyn, in the 2012 Readers’ Choice Awards by the Glancer Magazine.
In 2012, Joe formed the Joe Champagne Team at Keller Williams Premiere Properties in Glen Ellyn. His team includes two additional brokers: his wife Kathleen Holper Champagne and Katie Oakes. Kathleen, a former commercial litigator, is a listing specialist, buyer’s agent, and the team manager. Katie, the Keller Williams technology ambassador, is a listing specialist, buyer’s agent, and the team’s technology and marketing manager.
Joe Champagne attended grammar and high school in Wheaton. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Eastern Illinois University, where he received a football scholarship. Joe is an avid golfer and runner. To date, he has completed five Chicago marathons. Joe and Kathleen live in Glen Ellyn with their two young children.
Kathleen Holper Champagne
Kathleen Holper Champagne, a licensed attorney, joined the Joe Champagne Team as a broker in 2012. Kathleen was a partner at large Chicago law firm for several years, where she practiced commercial litigation. In addition to her years in private practice, Kathleen worked for judges from the Illinois Supreme Court, the Illinois Appellate Court, and the federal district court in Chicago. She also has taught courses at the College of DuPage. Kathleen brings her negotiating, communications, and management expertise to the group.
Kathleen Holper Champagne, along with her seven sisters and two brothers, grew up in Glen Ellyn. She attended grammar school in Glen Ellyn and high school in Wheaton. She graduated from the University of Illinois, Champaign, in 1993 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Communications. She graduated with Honors from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1996 with a Juris Doctor Degree.
Kathleen is an active volunteer in her children’s school and sporting activities. In addition to spending time with family and friends, she enjoys reading, running, spinning, and Bikram hot yoga.

Katie Oakes
Katie Oakes has been a Realtor since 2010. In her first year, she boosted her team’s sales volume by 65% and has since closed numerous transactions. Katie serves as the Technology Ambassador for Keller Williams Premiere Properties. In this role, she provides almost 100 agents with education on the latest technology in real estate marketing and data analysis. Katie’s technology expertise and successful sales experience provide our clients with the necessary resources to buy and sell their homes in today’s market.
Katie Oakes attended grammar and high school in Wheaton and graduated with Honors from Augustana College in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies and Environmental Studies. Katie played soccer at Augustana, where she was the team captain. In her free time, Katie assists with coaching the women’s varsity soccer team at Wheaton North High School.
