Although I was born and raised in Indiana, Louisiana has been home to me for thirty-eight years. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Indiana State University, where I became a lifetime member of Sigma Kappa Sorority. Upon graduation, I moved to Louisiana and attended graduate school at Louisiana State University. Shortly thereafter, I obtained a Master's Degree in Supervision and a Specialist Degree in Administration. I retired after nearly thirty-five years as an educator and middle school disciplinarian.
My hobbies and interests include playing classical music on the piano, traveling, and spoiling my two dogs. I also enjoy interior decorating, as there always seems to be a project going on in my home. As a matter of fact, my personal home was featured in the June 2010 issue of City Social Magazine. Staging my listings has been one of my strengths as a real estate professional.
As a pricing strategist, I use powerful marketing skills to insure that my listings go under contract in a short period of time for top dollar. In addition, I have been extremely successful in negotiating for my buyers.
Having been an educator, I have firm convictions that my listening, communication, and organizational skills, coupled with the ability to both focus and multi-task, have benefited me greatly in the real estate arena. As a member of The Institute of Luxury Home Marketing, my mission is to find a home that perfectly suits one's lifestyle. Having been a multi-million dollar producer, I was named the "2009 Rookie of the Year" February 11, 2010. January 13, 2011, at the Greater Baton Rouge Association of Realtors' Annual Installation and Awards Luncheon, I was given the "2010 Rising Star Award". This is the first year the award has been given. Currently, I am serving on four committees for the Greater Baton Rouge Association of Realtors: Education and Profitability, Community Funding Advisory Group, Realtor Image and Public Relations, and Social Networking. In addition, I am serving on the board for Red Stick Kiwanis and the board for my subdivision.
