Gwen Croft

With more than 20 years experience in marketing, advertising and design, Gwen started her own company, Croft Communications and Advertising, in New York City in 1993. She moved to Asheville six years ago.



As a Chattanooga, Tennessee native, she distinctively marketed her southern charm, big smile and hard work to no-nonsense businesses like HBO, Conte Naste, and Gotham Advertising, among others. Disarming hardened New Yorkers became a favored hobby, although coffee shop eavesdropping placed a close second.



After completing a Masters of Arts in Conscious Evolution in 2004 (her undergraduate degree is in Media and Communication), Gwen spent a couple of months volunteering on an organic, self-sufficient, sustainable farm in Byron Bay, Australia. When she returned, she decided to leave the Big Apple in favor of a smaller, progressive, interesting community, closer to aging parents and her adult son, Andrew, in Atlanta. Asheville fit the description perfectly.



Since her New York hobbies are of little use here in Asheville, she has developed a passion for gardening, and landscaping using native plants and permaculture techniques. Although always interested in homes, land, and real estate in general, she became intensely interested when she learned that Asheville offers an eco-certification for real estate professionals. One day, she hopes to retire on a big farm where she can take in all sorts of animals, friends and family to live happily ever after.



Currently, though, she lives quietly in West Asheville with her cat Bessie and enjoys all the wonderful amenities that Asheville offers – including the surrounding mountains, interesting people and the plethora of non-profits to sink her talents into.



Gwen is excited to be working with the professionals at Keller Williams and transferring her marketing background into a successful, exciting and rewarding career in real estate.
