Peggy came to Austin in 1976 for a Willie Nelson Picnic and returned one week later with all of her possessions — she has never looked back. She found her “place in the universe” and has spent the last 30 years sharing her love of Austin, Lake Travis and the Hill Country with everyone she meets.

Peggy’s introduction into real estate began in 1988 when she and her husband founded a luxury homebuilding company, Schatz Homes. Through that venture, she worked on the construction side of real estate for 15 years before making the natural transition into the selling market. Peggy’s expertise in custom homebuilding makes her the perfect representative in listing and selling luxury homes as she is able to convey to potential buyers all of the aspects of upper-end properties that might be missed by the untrained eye.

Representing Buyers is also one of Peggy’s fortes and she has made a name for herself representing many well-known musicians who share in her belief that Austin Rocks! With many of her Buyers coming from the West Coast, Peggy makes herself available to help them take care of all the details surrounding the move to their new home. Once they arrive, she is glad to be their personal “On-Star” that they can call in a pinch to direct them to all the best restaurants and clubs and teach them the shortcuts to getting there.

Peggy’s previous experience as a legal secretary makes the contract process a breeze for her clients. She believes that the best agent is an excellent negotiator but her work is most certainly not done after the contract is signed. Peggy goes the extra mile to listen and understand her clients needs and make sure that their transition into a new home is a smooth one.

Marketing is one of Peggy’s specialties — professional brochures, videos and virtual tours are just the beginning — her most unique properties have also been showcased on national television. Special properties require special coverage and Peggy has a concise plan that she shares with each potential listing. She follows up on a monthly basis with a written marketing report that keeps her clients up-to-date on all of the showings, feedback and marketing that has taken place. Specializing in lakefront properties, Peggy keeps her inventory of listings low in order to assure that each client gets the attention they need and deserve.

In recognition of her expertise in marketing fine, luxury homes, Peggy recently became a member of The Institute for Luxury Home Marketing, an organization that specializes in training and assisting select agents like Peggy, in their work with high end homes.
