Michael grew up in St. Louis. Graduated the University of Missouri with a business degree. Spent the next 10 years in Minneapolis/St. Paul primarily managing large residential properties. During this time he took a year off and traveled throughout New Zealand, Thailand and Nepal.
In 1990 Michael moved to Japan and spent the next 5 years teaching English.
In 1995 on the way back to the U.S., Michael spent 6 weeks in Guatemala traveling and studying Spanish. Afterwards, Michael settled in Portland and resumed his career in property management.
In 1998, Michael began as a buyer’s agent working under a top producing Eastside Realtor specializing in new construction.
In April 2000, Michael joined Coldwell Banker Barbara Sue Seal Properties (Uptown – NW 23rd Office).
Michael married his Japanese sweetheart in 2000. He and his wife live in the Sabin neighborhood (Northeast) with their 11 year old daughter. In 2002 Michael bought and rehabbed a property in the neighborhood.
In November 2005, Michael joined Keller Williams (Lloyd Center) and has been with them ever since.
