Cathy Taylor grew up in Mobile and has been a resident of the Eastern Shore for over 25 years.
She secured her real estate license in 1979 from the Alabama Real Estate Institute, being taught by the charming professor of real estate, Mr. Lorren Perdue. She has had a very strong background in the real estate industry by her various jobs as a legal secretary and her exposure to the construction and development industry while working in Point Clear. She was also involved in the formation of Magnolia Trace Inc., a real estate company and worked with the "Southern Comfort" entertainment cruise ship which was initially introduced at the Grand Hotel.
In 1990, Cathy later went on to be the Qualifying Broker for Quail Creek Realty in Fairhope where she oversaw the successful beginning phases of Quail Creek Estates and The Villas of Quail Creek, which is adjacent to the City of Fairhope’s 18-hole public golf course. When Quail Creek Realty dissolved, her real estate career led her to become an Associate Broker for Irvine Realty, which later became Coldwell Banker Suncoast Real Estate. It is now know as Coldwell Banker United today.
Cathy specializes in the sale of residential homes, vacant land and acreage, and commercial properties.
Cathy is past President of the Fairhope Business & Professional Women's Club, a club which worked to raise funds for the Alabama Girls Ranch; she was “Woman of the Year” in 1991 for the same club; she is a member of the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce, Best of Baldwin Club Lifetime Member, Life Spike Member. She was a member of the National Association of Homebuilders and received the 1993 Associate of the Year award and the 1995 Associate Big Spike award.
Cathy has her CSP designation (Certified New Home Sales Professional) and ABR designation (Accredited Buyer Representative). She also is a contributor to the American Heart Association.

Cathy resides on Mobile Bay with her husband Tommy. She has two grown sons, Roger Jacobsen who is a Chef in New York and Zach Jacobsen who is in the insurance adjusting business and resides in Oklahoma City. Her first grandson, Devon Alexander Jacobsen was born September 27, 2005...the day she joined Keller Williams Realty.
In her spare time she enjoys walking, kayaking, gardening, yoga, and playing with her Great Dane's, “Duffy and Elladee."
