I grew up in a small town called Aptos in Northern California. I moved to Southern California in search of warmer weather and to be plugged into a major metropolitan city.
After I graduated from Pepperdine University in Malibu I lucked out and met my wife while working in Orange County. We both thought that San Diego would be a great place to settle down and start a family.
My wife Catherine and I moved here January 1st, in 2004 from Long Beach.
Since then we have been warmly taken in by this community, blessed in 2009 with a little boy and girl (Twins!) and made some incredible new friends. I started out from day one selling real estate, apprenticing under one of the best real estate agents in the country and now proud to be a Realtor with Keller Williams Realty in Carlsbad.
Prior to my real estate career I was an Executive Recruiter. This is where I honed my negotiation skills by crafting win win compensation packages that were attractive for my top talent and also economically viable for my company clients. I learned to be pro-active, creative and tenacious. The multiple listing service is non-existant in executive search. My job was to go out and find companies in need of top talent. Then search for and find "A" Players that could substantially contribute to the organization's goals. The best candidates were top performers and not looking to make a move. Carefully listening to my candidates allowed me to introduce them to opportunities that uniquely fit into their big picture plans. The key to success was and is making great long term matches and that means really understanding both parties on a deep level which ultimately required outstanding listening skills. This valuable experience developed skills that transferred well to my real estate career.
In real estate I take a pro-active, creative and tenacious approach to helping people achieve their real estate goals. Goals range from building an investment portfolio, selling due to unforeseen life changes, gracefully exiting from distressed property, purchasing a second home, acquiring the dream home or even first home and the list goes on because real estate goals are as unique as the people I serve. My goal is to provide outstanding service that is individually tailored to my client's unique expectation of what outstanding service is. As a Realtor and Adviser I strive to listen hard, understand well and provide candid feedback so that my clients can make intelligent decisions. I am always thinking about how what I do or say is going to affect my client long term. How my advice will affect our relationship long term.
My personal goal is to continue learning and growing to be the best I can be on both a personal and professional level. It is an endless pursuit. It means that I continually educate myself through books, audio, video, seminars and classes to keep growing in all areas of my life. The more I grow the more I can contribute. This is why I chose to partner with Keller Williams Realty. Keller Williams is not just a Real Estate Brokerage. It is an education company that places personal and professional growth at the pinnacle of all goals. The better I become the better I can help those around me. Gary Keller says it this way and this is what drew me to Keller Williams. "It's not about the money... it's about being the best you can be."
