Mary Ellen Vanaken

was born and raised in Long Island, New York. After I graduated from college, I worked on Wall Street in New York City. I have been living in the Alpharetta area for more than 18 years.

I have a 21 year old daughter and she gives me a real nice perspective on the school systems in the counties I call my backyard. I also have a wonderful husband, who I love to travel with. I love to play tennis, play in the yard and plant beautiful trees and flowers. My house is like a small zoo. I have a golden retriever named Lucky and African Grey Parrots named Jack. and Jill. If I am at home you will usually hear Jack and Jill in the background. They both speak English and some Dutch sentences. We also have two aquariums full of fish.
