J.J. Gorena II was the original member of The Trey Group. The group is a real estate team that is rooted from family tradition. J.J.'s father was a broker for decades in Texas and left an empire to maintain and grow. As much as it was a blessing, it was tough for him. He was and is still one of the youngest agents in our company and have had the liberty to call himself number one in many aspects of the business. He has won awards early with Keller Williams Realty as the biggest listing agent. Bobby Cortez, as an individual agent, was a constant top agent and one of my fiercest competitors while he was growing his business. JJ somehow convinced Bobby to join him as a vested partner in 2008 and THEY TOGETHER have grown to become now the biggest Listing Team for consecutive years. Why are they called the "Trey" Group. J.J.'s son is named Trey (a nickname he bestowed on him because he is the third to hold his father's name). Even though he is only nine years old, J.J. wants him to become part of the Legacy that our family has created. Bobby is more than an extension of the family. He's a partner and the most solid asset a team could ever have.
