As a native of Illinois, Patty is well-qualified to extol the virtues of Chicago-area living when assisting either transferees, folks upgrading their present homes, dealing with major lenders and their foreclosures, and investors. She and her husband, John, are an unbeatable combination in both their private and professional lives. They have been married for 37 years.
Patty has personally sold over 1 Billion dollars worth of residential real estate in the past 29 years, averaging 25-30 million dollars a year for the past 6-7 years. She has never counted her team's volume as part of her personal volume. Her team of a 5 buyer's specialists average 16-20 million dollars a year. She hired her first assistant 22 years ago and her first buyer's specialist 8-9 years ago.
Patty loves spending time with her family. They have 3 great children. They also adore their 4 grandsons & their beautiful grandaughter. Patty lists her priorities as God, her family, her friends, and her profession in that order. Her outstanding personal characteristic is her openhearted nature. She is so successful because she regards everyone with whom she comes in contact as a friend and extends herself accordingly. Because Patty is so knowledgeable about the local real estate market, her clients praise her incredible efficiency and special services such as customized transferee packages for adults and separate ones for the children: "Show-N-Tell" scrapbooks, teddy bears and moving day baskets.
Patty believes in giving back to the community. She has been an active volunteer in organizations such as; Hospice, United Way, School District #15 (on the foundation and various committees), an instructor for a support group for the mentally ill (she is a member of NAMI), CCD classes, and on the bereavement committee for her church.
Being a teacher for seven years, four of which were in special education (mentally handicapped) helped Patty develop a special rapport for the young. This has carried over into her career in real estate that she entered in 1977. The children of clients are given special attention because moving is a trauma for everyone involved, not just for parents who must make all the decisions. Patty's warmth and sensitivity to the needs and desires of clients, co-workers and community is just a part of her total integrity.
The Ancona expertise includes 29 years of experience as an incredibly successful saleswoman who predicts that she will "probably die with my car phone in my hand".
Working from home, an office, or her "office on wheels", Patty Ancona's productivity is not an accident. She credits her supportive staff and family for allowing her to be so accessible to their clients. Others might credit a lifetime of hard work by the lady from this corner of Illinois.
Patty believes that there is "life after real estate" and that it's important to keep yourself "centered" with your priorities in order, and in taking care of yourself, so you can better serve others.
