Monica Fabbio is a native Texan who currently lives in Austin where she enjoys waking up each day with a view of beautiful Lake Travis. In 2002 she got her real estate license, and she’s provided her clients with a top-notch real estate experience ever since. She specializes in high-end, luxury homes in areas such as Westlake, Lakeway, Steiner Ranch, River Place, Westminster Glen, Costa Bella, Vineyard Bay and Barton Creek, as well as in waterfront homes on Lake Austin or Lake Travis where she lives. She has been a member of Austin's Elite 25, and has been a top producer for many years.
Monica truly enjoys helping people realize their dreams, as well as helping them through the major transition that accompanies selling, buying and moving. No two clients are the same, no two listings are the same and no two deals are the same. Each has its own characteristics and challenges. However, it is particularly through overcoming and enjoying these challenges that Monica has learned the lessons that enable her to continually improve her quality of service.
Prior to selling real estate, she was a Regional Vice President of Sales for a high-tech/telecommunications company providing multi-function equipment to large carriers across the nation. After dragging her nanny and newborn baby on 38 business trips the first 11 months of her baby´s life, she finally left behind the years of red-eye flights and found her calling in real estate.
Her early years in San Antonio, Dallas and Los Angeles were spent performing in many theatrical productions, musicals, commercials, and in TV/film roles. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Texas and then moved to Dallas where she took graduate classes in Journalism Broadcasting at North Texas State. She reported and sometimes anchored for a local television station while continuing to work on television via commercials and a couple of talk shows. She soon landed an international spokesmodel contract that required extensive travel around the world for the next couple of years. A few years were spent in Los Angeles where she continued to model and act before she decided to get back to her roots in Texas.
Last, but not least, Monica cherishes the time she spends on philanthropic activities in the Austin community. She’s been a huge supporter of and/or has served on boards of: Any Baby Can, United Way, Junior League of Austin, Ballet Austin Guild, My Healing Place, Lake Travis Education Foundation and Serene Hill Elementary PTO. She was once a nominee for the "Citizen of the Year" award in Lake Travis. She is also a member of the Austin Board of Realtors, the Texas Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors, and the Multiple Listing Service. Real estate accreditations include CLHMS, (Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist), ABR, Accredited Buyer's Representative, GRI, (Graduate Realtor’s Institute), CRS, (Council of Residential Specialists), and ePRO, (certification for Internet professionalism). In her "spare" time, she enjoys traveling the world with her family, playing classical piano, oil painting, ballroom dancing, doing Bikram yoga, reading and continually educating herself.
